I made this card for the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge blog. I followed the Valentines sketch for the challenge and was quite pleased with the way it turned out. I used my new 'limited edition' Promarker colours too, and they are great!

The Papers are from Pink Petticoats 'Old fashioned girl' set

and I made the sentiment on my computer.

I love this image from Kenny K (sexy cupid) and thought it would be great to colour! I was going to go all gothic, dark reds and black, but changed my mind at the last minute. I'm glad I did as I quite like how this one turned out.

I used my Promarkers and 2 colours from the Spectrum Noir range (better browns in my opinion!) and I made the sentiment on my computer (and now can't get Bon Jovi out of my head!) . The digi paper was a free download but I'm not sure from where.

(can you spot the mistake?... I spelt 'thorough' wrong and had to do a slight patch up job!!)

I made this card with two challenges in mind. First at Passion for Promarkers the theme is 'recycle something' - The kraft paper is actually an envelope from a bill and the buttons are off one of my daughters old school shirts! And since this is my first Teddy Bo digi, I thought I would enter this into their challenge too (anything goes)

The image from Teddy Bo, backing paper is Digital (not sure from where), kraft paper & buttons are recycled and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat. I machine stitched the edge of the kraft paper and I coloured with promarkers.

I've been wanting to ink up this stamp for the last few weeks (got it for Christmas) and I finally got round to doing it today! I've made 3 cards with her already (well, 2 and a half!) and she is truly Gorjuss ;)

Whilst blog hopping I came across a challenge blog that I've never seen before. The Sweet Stampin challenge blog. The challenge this week is 'White on White' so I thought I would have a go. This card turned out exactly as I planned and I'm really pleased with it!

My poor blog has been so very lonely for the last few months as I seem to have neglected it completely.
One of my goals this year is to enter more card challenges (and convince some of my 'crafty' friends to do the same) so hopefully it won't been so long between posts!

I made this card for my friends husband who is retiring and thought that it matched the new challenge at the revamped LOTV challenge blog - 'New Beginnings' (ok, so retirement is usually an ending but I think the person actually retiring probably sees it as a new beginning!)

I made this card using the cute digital stamp from the Designed2Delight challenge. I coloured the cute boy mouse with promarkers and the only copic marker that I own (did the cupcake case with it!), I then layered it a few times and added multi coloured sprinkles with stickles.

I made this for this weeks Designed2Delight challenge. This week we got to choose any stamp from their shop to play with. I chose 'Birday Party' because I think it's really cute!

I coloured the image with my promarkers (those new fine tips came in handy for the sentiment!) and added patchwork type squares with faux stitching draw on for the background. I added glossy accents to the balloon for a little dimension and added the sentiment on my computer.

The sentiment stamp is an old one I've had for years so I don't know where it's from. I like this card and I think I'll end up making him again in different colours!

I made this for the Designed2Delight challenge. I love peacocks, they are one of my favourite animals, although I don't think I've done this one justice. It didn't come out exactly as I had planned. It's ok, I guess, just not great! I coloured the peacock with my promarkers, added some gems, cut him out and added foam pads to the back for dimension.

I made this for the Bight Colours and Butterflies challenge at Cuddly Buddly. I've never entered one of their challenges before but I do like their stamps and though it was worth a go!

I use the Sweet Blossom digi stamp and coloured her with promarkers and added a faux stitched border. The bright background if from my stash.and I added a stamped a hero arts sentiment to an oval tag that I cut out with my craft robo (I cut them out in big batches!)

I made this for the Less is More challenge. It's a 'one layer card' and the theme is 'Something with legs'. I used a Jennifer Latte digi from The Stamping Boutique, lots of legs on this one!

I used digital paper, made the sentiment, added Jennifer in her bath, then printed it all directly onto a 6x6 card blank and promarkered it (not sure if promarkered is a real word, my spell check sure doesn't like it!).

For their 100th challenge at the Pollycraft challenge blog the challenge is 'Celebrate' with the added option of 'stars & stripes'. I don't think I've ever entered a challenge there but I though I would give it a go and since my backing paper is stars and stripes I get to enter twice!
I coloured my digi image (don't recall where I got this one from, sorry!) with my promarkers and added glitter & glossy accents. I made the sentiment myself and the paper is also digital (again, don't know from where) I think I was going for a black forest sort of theme... I was hungry when I made it, can you guess what I was craving?

I made this candle for the Michelle Perkett challenge - Anything but a card. I'm loving making these candles lately and when I saw this challenge I knew a exactly what to do. The colours don't come out that strong when they are transferred onto the candle so I added some stickles to the flowers and bits too bring a little colour back. I used the image Serena from Michelles etsy shop. I think I might well make a card to match this in the next few days too.

Animal Antics

I made this for a friend for her birthday and though it would be ideal to enter into the Lili of the Valley Animal Antics Challenge. I stamped my image with memento ink and coloured it with colour pencils (Fabel Castell polychromos - Burnt Carmine, Burnt Umber & Cold Grey IV) I blended the pencil with a blending stump and baby oil! It worked really well considering this was my first attempt. I added some bakers twine, a sentiment (from Pink Petticoat) and a little glossy accents & glitter to finish it off.

This is my card that I made for the CASE study challenge. Their Muse (April muse is Silke Ledlow) makes a card and you use it as inspiration for your own take on it. This is what I came up with. I made the sentiment on my computer, used digital stamps for the flowers from Digi Stamp Boutique and added some die cut swirls. This is the first time I've made my own flower for on a card, I think it came out ok. I made it with two larger flowers and two smaller ones, added a brad in the centre and shaped the petals a little. I'm pretty pleased with it and the photo doesn't do it any justice. Looks better in real life.

Since I've used the flowers from digi stamp Boutique I can enter this one in their challenge too.

I made this card for the 'Last but not least' monthly challenge. I think I have met all the criteria...

*CASE Teresa’s card

(I sort of followed the sketch and the colour scheme)

*use only one sentiment stamp

*create you card with the designer paper as the focal point

*and Last But Not Least…..add in some pearls

I used Papermania DP and a Hero Arts sentiment stamp. The singled out owl has glossy accents on him (can't really see it it the photo) and a foam pad behind him to add dimension. I also used my new EK success punch for the first time.

I was lucky enough to win last months challenge (my first ever win!) so I just had to enter again this month!

For this weeks progressive challenge at Designed2Delight I made an easel card. I love doing easel cards and should use this technique more often as it looks good.
I used the digital stamp (available in their shop if you haven't joined in the challenge this month) Bullfrogs & Butterflies. I coloured with promarkers (as usual) and used Pink Petticoat spotty papers (also as usual!). I added a bit of yellow ribbon and used glossy accents on the frog.

I made this card for the CASE Study challenge. You take your inspiration from their muse's design and see what you can come up with! This is only the second time I've tried this and it's great fun.
I used Cinder the dragon digital stamp from All That Scraps, I coloured him with my promarkers and made the sentiment on the computer myself.
(I'm really hoping that the little patch of glue on the bottom of the ribbon dries and doesn't leave a mark! Emergency embellishments may be needed!)

A little Smooch?

I came across a challenge on the Make it Crafty blog and it sounded like such fun that I had to join.

The idea is to combine Mo's image 'Little Smooch' with 'The Kissing Booth' from Make it Crafty.

I combined the two images using Page plus 9 and printed them out. I coloured with promarkers, found a ticket stamp, made some bunting and stuck it altogether.

I quite like the end result but I didn't really mean for it to be so yellow!

Patchwork Flower

This is my card for the Design2Delight using the digital stamp Ladybug Bloom.
I paper pieced the flower with different papers (from Pink Petticoat...again!), coloured the ladybug with my promarkers and added some glossy accents to her wings. I wanted to keep it fairly simple so I printed the main image directly onto my card blank. I had a picture of this card in my head last night before I went to bed, and all day I've been waiting to put it to paper!

Wow, 3 posts in one day, that has to be some kind of record for me!

I made this card for the Michelle Perkett colour challenge with one of her images from her esty shop. The theme (or colour) is brown and blue. It was fun figuring out how to best use the colours with the image I wanted to use. I coloured the image with promarkers and used Pink Petticoat papers for the background.

I love using PP digital paper because you can print out the colour palette and then match up the paper you want to your project. I never though I would use digital papers half as much as I do, I always thought they were a waste of my precious printer ink. But now I love using them. When I can't always find exactly what I want in my DP paper stash and having a good range of digital papers is really helpful.

Quick edit to say that the digital sentiment is a freebie from here... Create with TLC. I think I had to scroll though a fair few posts to get to it but I picked up some gems along the way so it's well worth the hunt! x

Catch a bug?

I've made this easel card for the Designed 2 Delight challenge. Usually if you play along all month you get a free digital stamp each week. I have a tendency to forget to post the card I've made (that's happened twice now!) so I bought this image to enter the challenge. I really like this little bug jar, it's just so cute!
I coloured the bugs with promarkers, added glossy accents to their shells (wings?) and stuck everything on with foam pads. I think I'll just make it in on this challenge!

ABC Christmas card challenge - F for Freebie

Feels kinda odd making a Christmas card in March but I guess it's only 9 months away! This one is for the challenge at ABC Christmas card challenge. This month is F is for Freebie. The freebie is a cute digi stamp from Stampfairy.com and there is a sketch to follow too.
I made this card with digital papers from Pink Petticoat. I'm not sure I like it now that I've make it....too much blue. Thats what comes of being lazy and not digging out my Christmas papers that I put away a few months ago I guess! I embossed the silver panel with a cuttlebug folder, paper pieced the image with PP papers too and added sitckles.

Last but not least challenge

I made this card for the Last but not least challenge. You need to use an embossed layer, a border punch, design paper and 3 brads to qualify to enter. This was a fun one to make (but don't look at the brads, the 3rd is wonky!) I think the design paper is from Papermania oriental pack, the embossing was done with my Cuttlebug embossing folder in my Bigshot, the punch is a Fiskars border punch and the image (coloured with promarkers) is a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps

Chick Card

Whilst blog hopping today I came across this challenge - case study challenge. You have to -

'Create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off-the-page item), based on provided inspiration (being a featured creation, made by our Muse)'

I had an idea in mind straight away when I saw it (that doesn't happen often) and made the card above to enter. I used elements from the 'Chip up' kit from Pink Petticoat and papers from one of the dots collections from the site too. I added my own sentiment, ribbon and a button to top it all off.

It came out exactly as I planned it (again, that doesn't happen often!) and it also inspired me to make the next card too, same chick (or bird, I guess?) and a nice simple design

Barney and Flower

This is a card that I made on commission for a friend at work. I actually ended up making two (one for my card box) because it was just so cute! I used the digital stamp 'Barney and Flower' from digi stamp boutique, I coloured him with promarkers, added some glamour dust to the rose for a little sparkle and I made the sentiment on the computer. I'm not really a 'pink' kinda girl but I was pleased with the end result.

I thought I would enter it into the month challenge at the Digi Stamp Boutique, I'm loving their images at the moment and have got a few now, so I may well enter another one!

I coloured the cute bear (Coco) with my promarkers, added some glossy accents on the hearts and a bow on the balloon strings. I think the DP is from a Papermania love pack but I've had it ages and don't know the name of it.

I love this cute bear and since I had to make a cute Valentines card on commission I thought I may as well enter it into a couple of challenges.

I got the sentiment from TLC, coloured the bow with promarkers, and used digital papers for the backing and the paper piecing (but I don't remember where they are from).

The photo looks a little dark to me, I think I'm going to have to make myself one of those light tents out of a cardboard box!

7th Birthday Card

This image is from another digi stamp site that I found - Bugaboo Stamps. They have some really nice ones too, I love the 'flower gals' range!

This was a fun image to play with. I coloured her with my promarkers, added glossy accents and glamour dust in various places and added a gem for the candle flame. I made the sentiment on the computer and cut out the number with my circle nesties. Backing paper is from the 'Piece of Cake' pack by Dovecraft.

Early Fathers Day?

I was browsing for digi stamps yesterday and came across a couple of sites that I hadn't seen before. The image above comes from Designed2Delight Digital Stamps. I bought a few other images but got this one mainly to enter into their challenge. It's a lovely idea, first you get the digital stamp from their shop that they are featuring this week, then make something with it and post it to the challenge. Then following week they send you a digi free and you do it all again! It's a lovely way to build up a nice digi stamp collection and they get a lovely gallery of cards... everyone's a winner. If none of that rambling made sense then go check it out, I have a tendency not to explain myself very well!

I thought this image would be good for masculine cards (always a tricky one for me) and then I decided it would make a nice Fathers Day card (very early, I know!)

I paper pieced the present and his boots using these papers from Pink Petticoat, coloured the bear with my promarkers, added a little glossy accent to his nose, a little stickles to the gift and distressed the edges just a bit. I found the sentiment and the frame on my computer from ages ago, so I don't remember where it's from.

I made this with one the gorgeous mermaid Serena by Michelle Perkett and thought I would enter it into the 'anything goes' challenge
I printed her out onto patterned paper and then again on white card. I coloured her with promarkers and cut her out to stick over the first image. I added glitter and pearls and a machine stitched then beaded border.
Came out a lot better that I thought it would and I'm pretty pleased with it!

I was asked a while ago by a friend to make a few Christmas cards for her to sell at their Christmas fete to raise money for the baby unit she works in. Thanks to another friend (or two), I have quite a few to send up to her (well I will have when I finish mine!)
Since she's a nurse, I thought I would use this image from Tiddly Inks to make her a card to send up with the Christmas cards. I then decided to decorate the box too. I hope she likes it when she gets it in the post full of cards for her to sell! I coloured my digital image using my promarkers, used papermaina papers for backing and printed the sentiment out on the computer.

I've spent most of my evening colouring and stitching. It kinda makes me wish I'd gone with faux stitching but I didn't! I was happy with the outcome although it took quite a few attempts to get her hair right.

Forever Friends

I was asked to make a 'get well' card for a friend so I decided to make an easel card and enter it into the forever friends challenge.

I've only ever done one or two easel cards but they are fun to make and I think I'll have to do more.

I love using the forever friends images although I'm not so keen on die-cut decoupage, I LIKE cutting it all out! I think maybe I need to get me a few stamps with the bears on... I'm also loving these papers from the Eastern Promise pack by Dovecraft. The rate I'm going though them I'm going to have to buy another pack ...or two!

I think my friend will be happy with this, she wanted something bright and cheerful for her friend who is unwell.

21st Birthday Card

I made this card this card on commission for my Mum's Boyfriend (I think it's for his niece?). I love this image from wild rose studio (thanks Dee!) and think that yellow is going to be colour of choice for a while. I also bought some more feathers today and will be using more in my cards as I was impressed with the outcome! I had a picture of this card in my head and it turned out just the way I wanted it too. Doesn't always work that way though...

I've decided to entre this one into the 'Let's ink it up' challenge-

I made this card using a digital stamp I bought today from the Sugar Nellie range from Funky Kits. I wanted to play around with my promarkers (I'm still a learner!) and when I found this challenge at The Sugar Bowl blog, I knew it was my chance! The theme was blue and I followed the sketch. I do love this little image and my daughter loves dream catchers so I may have to make something for her with it.

(please not that the icky looking bit around the edge of the wings is actually glitter but just shows up as some blobby mass of goo on my camera! I'm not in the habit of adding ick to my cards!)

I made this card with a digital image downloaded from pinkpetticoat.co.uk. The set is called 'Sweet Cheeks' (how cute is that!) and comes with a lot of images. I love the things they do there. Go check it out!
I coloured it with my promarkers and used glamour dust for a bit of sparkle. The grey bow looks a lot darker in the photo than it does on the actual card but not much I can do about that.

I though it would enter this one into the challenge 'SOMETHING NEW' on the Bee-crafty blog even thought it's not one of their images (sorry!)

I made this card for the Lili of the Valley challenge blog. Their stamps are so cute (I've ordered 3 more) and are great for pro marker practice!

It makes a nice change to have a nice male stamp. It's so tough making cards for men but I enjoyed making this one.

We actually had a sunny day, so I managed to get outside to take pictures. They always look nicer in real sunlight!

Anniversary Card

I got the idea for this one out of a magazine. I made the birds out of mire but found it really tricky to stick them in place. (Don't look too close or you'll see the glue!) I embossed the flowers with a cuttlebug folder in my bigshot and distressed it to bring up the white. I also used my nestablilites. It came out better than I thought it would but I would have like to be able to use less glue on the wire birds.

I made this new baby card on commission for my friend Heather. I actually got round to using my new craft robo. After a bit of playing around with the software that came with it and after a lot of searching forums for tutorials, I managed to 'weld' my words and make this card. It's my very first attempt at the craft robo and I'm pretty please with the results. I just need some new ideas or everyone is going to be getting very similar cards this year!

Digital Scrap

This is my first ever attempt at Digital Scrapbooking. It was fun to make and a lot less messy than the real thing! You don't have to worry about sticking bits on crooked and you have a delete button to fall back on.
I think I may well make a few more pages like this, it's nice having such a big choice of embellishments and bits to browse through with out having to tidy up my desk afterwards!

I bought some more Fantasy Fairy sheets (not sure of the correct name but I'm sure that will do!) with the last of my birthday money and have started making a few cards with them. I love these fairies and I'm going to find the photos of the ones I've made in the past and post them all here together.
I don't think this photo really does this card justice, I must remember to start taking my photos in the daytime, they come out so much better!
I think the only interesting thing I did on this card, apart from the decoupage, was cutting out the circle aperture with my shape cutter templates. I don't use them enough.

I found this the other day while clearing out some things in my daughters room. This is the first birthday card I ever made for her.

This was before my diecut machine so the words (and the number 2) were all printed out on the computer and cut out as templates, then traced onto coloured card and cut out again. I used punches for the flowers and found a cute bee sticker to finish it off.

It's a bit grubby where Ellie had her dirty paws on it but I though it would be interseting to see the difference in the card I made for her this year and this one.

I started making cards around about July in 2005, not long after my little girls 1st birthday.

Well, I don't seem to have used this blog much since I got it but I'm hoping to start adding my cards and ATC's too it as I make them. I made a set of Bear ATC's for the cm&p forum today. My ATC's always end up looking like toppers for cards but thats' the way I like to do them! I'm still getting used to the whole lay out here too so sorry if my posts seem a bit jumbled. I guess I'd get used to it if I actually used it more!

This was my entry in an ATC competition on the theme of love, on the CM&P forum. I actually won, a big shock to me! All the other entries were just lovely and my ATC collection has had a huge boost now! Thanks to everyone who voted for mine.
